Tattoo Aftercare
-Leave wrap on until you are home or able to clean your tattoo in a sanitary space.
-With clean hands, remove the wrap and wash the tattoo with unscented antibacterial soap.
-Pat the tattoo dry with a clean towel or disposable paper towels. Do not share towels with others.
-Allow the tattoo to air dry for a few minutes before moisturizing.
-Moisturize the tattoo with an unscented, alcohol free moisturizer such as Aquaphor.
-Leave the tattoo unwrapped for the duration of the healing process and repeat the washing and Moisturizing routine 2-3 times a day for the first two weeks of healing.
-After the first four days of healing, you can switch to a gentle scentless lotion, such as Lubriderm.
-Avoid submerging the tattoo in water such as hot tubs, baths, or pools for at least two weeks after tattoo application.
-Do not scratch or peel the tattoo during the healing process.
-Make sure the clothes and bed sheets interacting with your tattoo during the healing process are clean.
-Consult your doctor and your artist if you notice swelling, infection, fever, illness, or allergic reaction.
